I do know the Sinclair Group, and I like the dystopian angle of them potentially using their broadcast empire to adopt massive amounts of children from other countries.
  11:21am
Martinibomb:

Bwhahah! you have to wonder with the christian angle if they aren't related somehow.
  11:22am

We're currently living in a dystopian sci-fi story.

SNAFU is the natural state of the universe. How you doing?

Mr Fab:

Hmm, is this Ubu a bootleg? I was a big fan of this era Ubu, played "Dub Housing" to death.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:43am
Rich in Washington:

Me? Good. Better. Thanks for asking. Getting on top of physical world problems, which were manifold, seemingly insurmountable. Things seem to be getting back to normal, albeit dystopian.

Mad Max, Bladerunner, et al, sort of prepared us for all this. You can run but you can't hide, wake up - time to die, etc...

Talking of singing... THIS is beautifull
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51am

my favorite quote, pinned to my Twitter account since the beginning of this nightmare:
"In the dark times will there also be singing? Yes, there will also be singing.
About the dark times."

I have an old record from some church in St. Albans UK!
Avatar 1:15pm
Mr Fab:

this track is like: Hello, Captain Beefheart, we salute you!
  1:27pm
Dave In St Albans UK:

St Alban's Abbey handed out vinyl copies of cathedral concerts a few years ago! But then again we have a lot of churches. Hi everyone.
Avatar 1:30pm
Mr Fab:

Hi Dave! But are the churches still used as churces? Just read a story about how many churches in the US are "going out of business" and being turned into secular spaces like restaurants, even night clubs.
Avatar 1:31pm
Mr Fab:

Disco Thai?! That was cool.
  1:52pm
Dave In St Albans UK:

@MrFab Yes they are used as churches and community orientated. I don't know how they keep going. It's an old Roman town and full of historic buildings of which many are functioning churches.
Avatar 1:57pm
Jason Elbogen:

actually played the wrong song to end the set, sorry. I'm not into this at all!
Avatar 1:59pm
Jason Elbogen:

the record is generally good though
Avatar 1:59pm
Mr Fab:

Change the record midstream, Jason, it's ok!

Interesting, Dave - i saw an article that said 10,000 churches "go out of business" in the US every year.
