In this year of je non regrette rein, I went to the Stones show Thursday night after not seeing them at Jazzfest. Tight set. Midnight Rambler was highlight. Played She's a Rainbow as voter pick. Ronnie Wood sizzled, Charlie Watts unflappable. Mick & Keith were Mick & Keith. All seemed to be enjoying themselves. Highly skeptical that Jagger indulged in a Taylor's Ham egg and cheese - but maybe he's also living a year of no regrets..Their 90th show in the New York/NJ area.

@radioronan - you were at Jazzfest? I live in New Orleans but missed the whole thing this year too, really wanted to get some of that quail, pheasant, and andouille gumbo from Prejean's, but work and family matters got in the way.

@mariano that gumbo is one of the reasons I go to jazzfest. I have 4 pints in my freezer that I brought back. I only went the 2nd Friday - at $75 a day eek-but still really enjoyable. Would have planned differently and gone different days but plane & place to stay were already hooked up around the Stones Thursday.

@radioronan - Oh man, you're so lucky having spare Prejean's gumbo! Some weekend I should drive out to Lafayette and the area to stock up on Cajun goodies - last time I was out that way I found some amazing smoked rabbit sausage. My cousin and her boyfriend went to the Stones show and they said it was great, glad you got to catch them!
