Not surprised, bemused perhaps. I was also unaware they had other songs, but I suppose that was inevitable.

The kind of music you hear in late night tv that I have a very fond nostalgia for >;P

I was gonna go with "reliving childhood trauma" but that works too :D
Avatar 5:25am

@NickTheBard I favourited it! Yes, it’s late-night-talk-show-commercial-break-segue music. Makes me feel like the world is just peachy and everything will be okay.

VincentNifigance:

This song disturbed me as a kid. I envisioned disembodied tax-clad arms in white gloves that I thought were going to reach out and grab me from behind every corner.
Avatar 5:47am
Nick the Bard:

Disturbed you, this and Electric Avenue were like my two favorite songs as kid
Avatar 5:48am
Nick the Bard:

or, well, the actual Steve Miller Band version anyway, this version is from earlier this year
Avatar 5:50am
VincentNifigance:

@NickTheBard I was at the mercy of my imagination. Electric Avenue was my Jam. But I thought Eddy Grant was Bob Marley.

  6:09am
seriously:

i mean, so much talking.. his voice isn't even that pleasant
Avatar 8:45am
Nick the Bard:

"So much talking" when? You complained on that last segment, which was BARELY anything in regards to going over what was on the playlist, so unless you just want me to just go over stuff like some kind of rapid fire machine gun thing and make it most lkely even more unintelligible, then, sure, I can do that.

If you're chiming in at the end of the show having had listened to the over all thing? Well, you know what? I have a tendency to throw in anecdotes and trivia in spots with things where I can, and some nights I blither on more than others (especially when I need to fill out set time on a spur of the moment).

Then again, maybe I'm just one of those weirdos that actually LIKES hearing the host of a show talking about stuff instead of just a constant barrage of music. Hell, my favorite stuff on the radio was always the public affairs stuff that usually got stuck in the early Sunday morning slots.

And I am fully aware of how grating my voice can be, so that's not even anything on a level of insult at this point.

Old Dave:

Nick gets to talk. It is Nick's show. Some of us enjoy the fact of his dedication to the personal DJ art form of yore. Like me!

SADDLY I WON'T BE AWAKE AT YOUR TIME SLOT ANYMORE BUT AM SO GLAD YOU ARE BACK
  9:40am
Daniel Galioto:

Hey, thanks for playing my version of "Abracadabra"!
And thanks for putting the idea of cauliflower cupcakes in my brain. That actually sounds good.
Oh, and sorry my name gave you a little trouble - it's pronounced Gal-e-OH-toe.
Thanks again!!
