Hi Michele with one L and everyone. Ike, I've come to believe of Heavy Metal (Takin' a Ride) is a metaphor for the lost innocence of youth. One minute we are listening to the California goodness of the early Eagles, actually believing that one day there will be a girl, my lord, in a flatbed Ford slowin' down to take a look at me. But then we learn we can never really take it easy (Michele's set list notwithstanding), and that we have, in fact, been takin' for a ride in Felder's crass commercialism. Or maybe its all just a huge coincidence.

@Carmichael:They do really amazing events, and sponsor international artists to do paid fellowships. They started w/ free103point9.org as a pirate radio station in Brooklyn (where I used to dj), before they bought the land upstate. One of the co-creators was originally from Tampa, and was friends w/ the bands Home and Alva, whom I had a friend who hung out w/ them. So, as soon as I moved to Brooklyn, I sought them out....
