The Del-Rays with two co-founders of the Muscle Shoals Studios: Roger Hawkins and Jimmy Johnson
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:34am Brian in UK:

@mauri I think that it is MORE beer that does it.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:03am Gina Bacon:

Here's a good place for me to seek help! I have the line of a song in my head, but can't find the rest of it in my memory banks:
"Little girl, where have you gone...little girl..."
It's jazz, and it's not Little Girl Blue or Turn Around. Anybody?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:04am Gina Bacon:

Is it Little Boy?
  10:08am Glam:

Does it reference or does it refer to?

One to get if you're interested in the Kershaws:

www.discogs.com...

We had one guy here who made his name covering Kershaw tunes, Teddy Nelson, obviously not his real name and severely inauthentic. Did make it to the Grand Ole Opry, though.

Hello Hugo, sunshine in Bergen?

Now I have to dig into Woolery politics... I wasn’t aware!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:41am Doug Schulkind:

  10:42am bigplanetnoise:

Yeah. Looking now. Yuck.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42am Hugo:

Overcast at the moment, but sunny the last few days. Better than expected at this time of the year.

Lovely, but somber tune by Shirley. Of course, you can't have an English folk set without Maddy Prior.
Avatar 10:43am annie:

her singing leaves me speechless...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43am Doug Schulkind:

I once went to a Steeleye Span show around Christmas time. During the encore, they threw out dollar bills to the audience. The greenbacks were fluttering and floating all around us like snowflakes. It was crazy and magical.

I was in the divided kingdom last week, they had to reopen the parliament, don't know if there was a causality, When i was in my early teens i was an ehr.. Status Quo fan (a village boys destiny), Steeleye Span fitted well in.

@annie
Me, too. Maddy makes me melt. I adore her. (Would say worship, but that would be creepy.)
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:49am Brian in UK:

Saw the Sisters Brothers the other day. Director Jacques Audiard seem to like limb removal in his films. John C Reilly was good, he plays with Tom Brosseau on occasion.

Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:52am JtotheK:

Hiya Doug, hi everyone. Tuned just in time to catch Betty James 'Mixed Up' - first heard that 45 earlier in the year, and really dig it. The guitar and drums sound so nice and crunchy in that mix.

In the book I was referring to last week, "Middle England" by Jonathan Coe, the main character has a playlist with, in addition to Shirley Collins, bands like Stackridge and Van Der Graaf Generator. The book is the third in a trilogy beginning with "The Rotters' Club", which also happens to be title of an album by Hatfield and the North. It all hangs together!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:08am Brian in UK:

Doug, Translation for Meic Stevens. Only today, yesterday and tomorrow.
