Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35am
diciassette:

Hi g.b.! If it were 1989, and I suddenly found myself at the shoreline, at a dead show, I'd be VERY disoriented!
  12:39am
greatbarrington in the kitchen:

Ah. My mistake. Maybe someone else who comments during this show

Random interjection, and I apologize, but I have a friend in NYC area for a week for work, and he’s hoping to catch a swell rock and roll show, but I’m out of the loop as far as diy venues and such are concerned. (Last time I was around, the silent barn was still functioning.) Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
Avatar 2:37am
Zoe B:

le poisson rouge (sp?), alphaville, sunnyvale, windjammer are all good places to check!

I might actually have to also go back and review Rich Hazleton’s rundown. He always has some great suggestions.

ParUbi:

I’m happy — I didn’t know he also wrote poetry
  2:44am
greatbarrington:

had a friend who saw Cecil in the '90s. he said everyone in the audience got mad because he opened the set with an extemded poem, shouting like, "play dude" but i like his written work. you can hear his playing in it. all around genius
  2:46am
greatbarrington:

of course then he proceeded to get on that Bosendorfer and rock it out for like an hour
  2:48am
ParUbi:

Nice. Of course he’s a poet— he’s one on the keys
