After you go down, you meet everyone, and you can sniff around the various departments and figure out who is hiring for a better gig. I was Fuels Operator (fueling planes, helicopters, refueling fuel depots, etc.) 2nd time down for summer season, then wintered over in waste management. So my schtick is that I was a janitor, gas station attendant, and garbage man on the Ice.
