I'd think The Birthday Party's Dead Joe would the go-to SAB ecksmas song (It's christmas time for you...) also Gun Club's Sex Beat (though it does have an f-bomb)
Avatar 3:46pm
Creamo Coyl:

Ha yeah, think I've played Dead Joe on a previous Xmastime show

Creamo, so glad you dropped some Zonal into the mix! Listening to Moor Mother reminded me how much I have enjoyed that collaboration this year.

I've been getting bullish on Bloor and Kuupuu for year winners.
Avatar 4:04pm
Creamo Coyl:

Bloor is now Bloar and half that album was from the SAB session, so we'll take that as a win. Prob drop a cut next week.

Dunno Kuupuu but I'm interested.

As you should.

This reminds me a bit of a group I heard years ago on FMU, Imaginary Icons. They have a great song called Lucifer Rise.

Hi Creamo.

Thanks for the soundtrack to our Christmas Eve dinner preps.

Hey guys!

#1 volunteers!

Have a good Christmas!
Avatar 5:03pm
Creamo Coyl:

@mariano

You'll have to ask Tom Dash about Imaginary Icons. I think he knew those shadowy post-punk operatives.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:08pm
mariano:

@Creamo: thanks, I shall do that. Back in 2011 or 12 Liz Berg played Lucifer Rise on her show. I wrote her and asked for more info on the band, and she put me in touch with a guy named Tom Hyland (iirc), who it turned out lived in the same general area in Brooklyn. I got in touch and bought a hand-illustrated EP from him, which is now packed away somewhere, I'll have to dig it out. Forgot how much I liked them.

Cream-O-da-crop mate. Exquisitely curated imaginatively provocative & a proppa kick in the knickers. Good show mate, a real kundalini stimulator. Forgive the suggestion but, I fink a moment of Crash Worship wud be lovely.
Happy Chrimbo yo!
