As I recall, his saxophone sounded horny....or saxy if you like. Come to think of it a saxophone player could play the Star-Spangled Banner and it would sound horned up.

	1:21pm Brendan: Been ODing on Rush after the shock of Neil’s passing. Totem stands out as a wonderful joyful bit of noise on the drums. The toms are so musical , and the way he plays with time on that song is f’ing awesome.

	1:45pm sphere: That's a problem with being a music fan. You spend a good fraction of your energy being annoyed at certain bands and musicians and then they die, "de mortuis nihil nisi bonum" kicks in and suddenly you can only say nice things about them.

Then Neil Peart dies and suddenly everyone admits “Oh, yeah… I like Rush…” To me, everything they did from “Grace Under Pressure” onwards was not that inspiring personally. But the legacy they left before that? Man… That was a catalog.

	2:05pm Brendan: Early Rush overlapped with weed, thai sticks etc. ...saw 2112 or (Farewell To Kings?) tour at Warner Theatre, DC . Hemispheres in Baltimore was great. Fell out of favor in their keyboard phase briefly but started going back to their shows since Test For Echo in 97... there were some stinkers in there but Clockwork Angels was solid as a final effort , I thought. The Garden -as the last song on the last album may not be my favorite song of theirs but ln terms of songwriting it was a nice farewell from Neil. https://www.rush.com/songs/the-garden/

Then Neil Peart dies and suddenly everyone admits “Oh, yeah… I like Rush…” To me, everything they did from “Grace Under Pressure” onwards was not that inspiring personally. But the legacy they left before that? Man… That was a catalog.

Fell out of favor in their keyboard phase briefly but started going back to their shows since Test For Echo in 97... there were some stinkers in there but Clockwork Angels was solid as a final effort , I thought.
