When Eddie Cochran played Liverpool, only George Harrison attended.

	♥ 5:14pm StringOFperils: I have read that small combos in general evolved out of the inability for the front persons/band leaders, the 'names', to pay or hire large dance bands during WWII, because the payroll became impossible and things collapsed into small units, and stayed that way, The band leader, however, remained on the marquee. Could be that, in part.
