The GTO's (Girls Together Outrageously): an album from 1969, produced by Frank Zappa. Hilarious, yet touching. The group included Pamela Des Barres (author of I'm With the Band: Confessions of a Groupie).
The Turtles: My favorite acid rock band from the sixties. Why? Because they had a sense of humor (although, as their lawsuit against De La Soul for sampling one of their songs shows, they may have since lost it), and they were pop!
