The sad thing about this latest Shatner release is that when he's not trying to do self-parody he can make a good record. See "Has Been" for example. I actually prefer his version of "Common People" over the original.

On the downside I saw Shatner in a small midtown Manhattan pub near my office a couple years ago. Didn't notice him until I walked by his table when I went to use the rest room and did I did a visible double take and he must've noticed. He was eating dinner so I didn't bother him and he smiled and gave me a friendly nod when he walked past me on the way out I guess in appreciation of leaving him in peace...and then I found out from the bartender that he's in that place pretty regularly when in NY and isn't a good tipper. Always a bummer when you hear that about people with money.

Dave. I had a similar experience with Craig Charles of Red Dwarf fame, outside a pub in Salford. Left him alone but a quiet nod to each other. Unfortunately othrs spotted him and wanted selfies so he packed up and left.
