It was from Sears. I never saw one before either. Had a microwave side and at one end a little door pulled down to reveal tow toaster slots. It saved space in a way but like I said was quite large.

@coel my biggest issues with electric is how long it takes to heat up and when you turn it off, it's not really off for a while. There's no radiant heat with induction, so off is really off -- its just whatever heat your cookware retains. You can get a couple cups of water to boiling in about 30 seconds

Phillippe yes those attributes are one thing i don't like but i work with. i know at what point before the thing (whatever the thing is) is finished to turn the power off. like with ramen i drop the noodles in then the seaweed and turn it right off.
roasting seeds in a cast iron skillet i turn the power on, put the seeds in and turn the power off as soon as the coils reach a glow.
it heats up fast here. the one in my last apartment it was slow. (and sparky)
