i once worked with a guy in an electronics warehouse who was missing at least part of a couple of fingers, but i never noticed or knew until i criticized his sloppy writing on an order i was filling, and mentioned as much in a friendly way (he was a friendly guy.) he then half-flipped out or at least acted like he did and then went back to his jovial, jokey self. "How well would you write with only 3.x fingers!?"

Staggering enuff. Of course 0 he was also a uniquely Lyrical Jazz player : Duke Ellington said he was the 1st person outside the USA to really contribute to the idiom. Two fingers as his fretting hand - & he's widely regarded in the very small handful of Best Guitarists Ever. Django Jimi Segovia & everybody else if you catch me on a grumpy day...
