Favoriting Cratedigger's Lung with Rich In Washington: Playlist from February 5, 2021 Favoriting

Rich in Washington's avatar View Rich in Washington's profile Favoriting

A three-hour exploration of excavations from the farthest reaches of humanity's hellish collective brain, through records, tapes, CDs, mostly scoured from country bumpkin thrift stores, creepy charity shops, backwoods junk stores, and even the internet - all mixed live. We don't judge, we just play 'em. Hosted by Rich in Washington.

Had the good fortune of hearing Oswald at Victo when, anticipating Cecil Taylor's tardiness at a show due to trouble at the border, Oswald and Paul Plimley agreed to open for Marilyn Crispell, who was to open for Taylor. The duo played, followed by Crispell, and then Taylor arrived. Long marvelous show.

Yeah, Screamers documentation is not always satisfying. But live they were marvelous.

That's always worked for me Bob. More so than ever I'd say. I like 'the hard rock' to this day. Yesterday when I was at my moms house making a blueberry pie I was listing to Shades Of Deep Purple. Worked for me - sadness and grief with devil horns in the air.

My mom and dad, for all their horrible reactionary Midwestern racism, were pretty cool in other respects. For instance, I bought the Hair soundtrack when I was nine or ten, '68 or '69.
