Tom, one of the two pizza places at either end of our block makes an AMAZING grandma pie. When friends come [came] from other neighborhoods, it's always what they want to get. 	7:31am Handy Haversack: Morning, Franco! Earthwalker, well, I'd say one thing we're learning is that pizza is an intensely local experience. Brooklyn is super rich and super deep in it, though. We are also also conflating slice shops and restaurants right now, I think, which are different beasts. But pizza culture, to my mind, is deeply embedded in the walking culture of NYC and more urban NJ towns. The slice that you can grab on a paper plate and eat while you walk or in the park is crucial to the experience. And to the development of the pie. So, some different beasts all being corralled together here, which is OK. tl;dr: Yes, Brooklyn is the best.

We are also also conflating slice shops and restaurants right now, I think, which are different beasts. But pizza culture, to my mind, is deeply embedded in the walking culture of NYC and more urban NJ towns. The slice that you can grab on a paper plate and eat while you walk or in the park is crucial to the experience. And to the development of the pie. So, some different beasts all being corralled together here, which is OK. tl;dr: Yes, Brooklyn is the best.
