Yes, it's the Squeezebox device made to actual high end standards.

Linear power supply, careful design, very low internal jitter, high-quality (AKM-based I think) DAC inside (although it's also an excellent digital transport), balanced outputs...

@vanhooserd Don Pullen and Dannie Richmond… that must've been something else. I got to see Pullen in about 1992. He played with bells strapped to his ankle, which would jingle as he stomped out a rhythm. He looked unwell, sallow. Seated at the piano, put all the force of living and dying into his hands and feet.

re: Akiyama -- that's some face-bone massaging resonance.

@Uncle Michael: Mmmmmaybe! You know that I'm deeply self-destructive when I try to put a show together, and my old bones can't take the abuse very often. I was so bad at getting things resolved in a timely fashion that I didn't quite get around to sleeping last night.

But thank you as always for the honor of having allowed me to perch on your radio stool for a day!

Okay, all! Thanks so much for hanging here with me!

I've got one more Chick Corea song, then you should dive right over and listen to the diva, the one and only Monica!
