FINALLY had a chance to watch The Tibetan Book of The Dead documentary narrated by Leonard Cohen -- when i first heard about this (early 1990s?) all i could think was how eerie, almost disturbing, it would be to hear Leonard reading The Tibetan Book of The Dead (at the time, i had not realized it was a documentary) . . . but instead i found his narration incredibly soothing, like i wish he HAD recorded an actual reading of The Tibetan Book of The Dead, even if only in English

i actually borrowed the DVD from my local library; the translation i have is from W. Y. Evans-Wentz, with commentary by Jung (1980s? got this as a gift many years ago)
