The Beatles audition just doesn't offer much -- the playing is pedestrian and the "Beatle magic" singing isn't there. The Trems were top-notch players, and if that was on display, how could Rowe not think, "Well, I'm going to get a lot of bang for my buck here as I can use them for more than just backing Poole."
