	4:47pm WM: As I’ve already mentioned on the Comments Board for Destination Out 2/14/21, I was amazingly lucky back in college to have heard at the NYU Loeb Student Center a duet between Milford Graves and Andrew Cyrille (with an African percussion and dance troupe as the opening act). Latter on I heard MG at with Charles Gayle and again with John Zorn. The sounds from all these performances are still ringing in my ears. Forgive me for boasting a bit about my good luck. Very sad to have lost such an amazing musician and remarkable man Thanks to those at WFMU who have taken time to pay homage to MG.

They let us in with a sneer to make a phone call. This music is matching my memories. L

	5:33pm WM: @Miss G: I’ll keep on bragging… The first time I heard Sonny Sharrock live was at CBGBs. He was the opening act for a band Deadline that featured Philip Wilson on drums. (Another musician who deserves to be better remembered.) I went to the show because I had heard that Robert Quine, one of my very favorite guitarists, was going be with Deadline. (He didn’t show up for some reason) I had never heard of SS. Deadline was good but it’s SS who sticks in my mind. He gave a great performance with drums and bass. I can still distinctly remember some of the riffs he played.

	4:47pm WM: As I’ve already mentioned on the Comments Board for Destination Out 2/14/21, I was amazingly lucky back in college to have heard at the NYU Loeb Student Center a duet between Milford Graves and Andrew Cyrille (with an African percussion and dance troupe as the opening act). Latter on I heard MG at with Charles Gayle and again with John Zorn. The sounds from all these performances are still ringing in my ears. Forgive me for boasting a bit about my good luck. Very sad to have lost such an amazing musician and remarkable man Thanks to those at WFMU who have taken time to pay homage to MG.

	5:33pm WM: @Miss G: I’ll keep on bragging… The first time I heard Sonny Sharrock live was at CBGBs. He was the opening act for a band Deadline that featured Philip Wilson on drums. (Another musician who deserves to be better remembered.) I went to the show because I had heard that Robert Quine, one of my very favorite guitarists, was going be with Deadline. (He didn’t show up for some reason) I had never heard of SS. Deadline was good but it’s SS who sticks in my mind. He gave a great performance with drums and bass. I can still distinctly remember some of the riffs he played.
	5:34pm Linda Lee: we also spent lots of time up on the fire escape in that hot summertime, watching the activity there.
