	9:15pm northguineahills: English wasn't somewhat standardized spelling until the invention of the printing press. Before, each village had their own dialect, and each class (multiples) had their own as well. It wasn't until after WWII that English got standardized off of the southern English accent mixed w/ London. (But the regional dialects still appear all over, see the Yorkies). Scots is now considered a different language, like Cantalunya is to Spanish.

Before, each village had their own dialect, and each class (multiples) had their own as well. It wasn't until after WWII that English got standardized off of the southern English accent mixed w/ London. (But the regional dialects still appear all over, see the Yorkies). Scots is now considered a different language, like Cantalunya is to Spanish.
