If anyone has cd player that can read cdrs, so you can rip them, I'll ship them to you (lost my car, and it was the only cd player that could play them.)

This Blume sounds like an homage to Pierre Henry's, "Variations for a Door and a Sign". I did a realization of it at the Kitchen.

whenever i encounter our microwave door open, i can't resist slamming it loudly (or else it wont close :-B -- it's so loud and annoying that i'm about to buy another quieter one (and most likely end up giving this one away to the next unfortunate sucker. i bought it off CL. guessing the slamming is why they ditched it))

ngh, how are you doing? I was scrolling back through comments and I read @7:58 "a group of ravers"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34pm

I suppose a group of ravers is a rave?

hey Aitch, new neighbors=new noises!
Hey Kat!

whoops, Kat, that was a typo, it should have been, "a group of ravens" (referencing the Lawrence English track(.

Hi all! Pretty strange to think that data CDs/MP3 CDs, and devices that can play them, are slowly going the way of the videocassette....
Avatar 8:39pm
northguineahills:

Although, w/ the popularity w/ EDM in Ibiza crowd in Europe and the frat crowd here, that could be debated depending on the party these days.....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:40pm
Kat in Chicago:

I don't count those folks as true ravers
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:40pm
Kat in Chicago:

Jesse, I played your track from Music from Another Sky last night on my show :)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:49pm
Kat in Chicago:

I played Pauline Anna Strom too, just lovely
Avatar 8:49pm
northguineahills:

I refused to release any music due to my stubborn nature of, "not releasing music as a commodity". my band members changed my mind right when things went south (metaphorically and geograpjically). But, my experimental stuff is online.... It might be an acquired taste, post-Fluxus. Actually, Jesse and Kurt have played some of my stuff before.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm
Kat in Chicago:

where's it at ngh? I think I connected with your Soundcloud years ago on my old SC account that I don't use anymore
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm

Aitch, I am planning to move myself pretty soon, partly because of actual neighbors noise. Thinking a top floor apartment might be a wise choice. Lockdown has made me hypersensitive I think
Avatar 8:56pm

@chresti, if you mean me then I guess probably not, yikes! thanks for the heads up!

You'll pick it up again sometime, no pressure Jesse. Or you'll switch to clarinet.
Avatar 9:07pm
northguineahills:

I was never good at reed instruments, but brass came naturally, as keyboards (do recorders and flutes count as reeds instruments [technically they do]?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:08pm
chresti:

There are a number of neglected instruments around the house, in dusty corners.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:08pm
Kat in Chicago:

Clarinet seems like it would be hard to play well. I can name a lot more sax players than clarinet players.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:10pm
chresti:

Wind instruments.
Avatar 9:11pm
northguineahills:

I've detroyed many guitars, percussion and antique instruments, from playing them too hard. Putting a coronet in a vat of water (w/ a pickup mic, wired to an echoplex, going to my bandmate's laptop), probably didn't help that instrument either.....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:11pm
chresti:

I was taken aback by the amount of windpower needed, when I tried sax.
Avatar 9:17pm
northguineahills:

I had a second interview w/ utility company job, and one w/ FB (that might get awkward). I'm broke, so, I'll take anything. once Jesse is done, I'm walking to buy some beer. Studying today took the ummph out of me....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:20pm

best of luck, ngh! I think the snow here may have melted enough for an after-work beer run tomorrow. I'm down to my last pint of milk stout.

Landlords here looking at the thermostat, which is stuck off. I'm like ok cool I gotta get back to this radio show in this room here
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:41pm
Kat in Chicago:

This is not a good time for one's thermostat to be malfunctionng, though. The heat from these tunes must be keeping you warm?
Avatar 9:45pm
northguineahills:

I once had my hot water heater in my bldg in Brooklyn konk out in December. It took my landlord over a week to get a new one. Taking cold showers when the indoor ambient temperature was hovering around 35F/2C, and wearing full winterwear indoors, was a lot of fun. My partner was smarter (as per usual), and showered at her gym.
