@ViKKiV -- Are you almost back to 100% following COVID? I tested negative about two weeks after having it, and I just tested positive for the antibodies. I can't get the vaccine until June at the earliest now.

Last week I watched the film That is the Way of the World (1975) starring Harvey Keitel and "The Group"... Earth Wind and Fire.

Later tonight I'll be watching a movie I've never seen yet... One-Trick Pony (1980) written by and starring Paul Simon. Don't know what to expect but Lou Reed is in the film!

Let's not forget all the great films WFMU is hosting. Nice way to show your support.

Thats awesome Mike! Not quite 100%, still some lingering symptoms but getting there soon hopefully! I still tested positive last week so probably will retest early next week just to know. And I was told if you go donate plasma they'll tell you about antibodies? i'll hold off as long as I have them- I read about very recent covid survivors getting pretty sick from the vaccine too

@ViKKiV -- Yes, do NOT get the vaccine if you're full of antibodies already. Wait at least 90 days after testing positive for antibodies. You're just throwing antibodies at other antibodies, and your body goes out of wack.

@CC -- there are many folks out there who have had asymptomatic cases of COVID but test negative for antibodies. If someone gets a mild or moderate case of COVID, it really is important to to do some research or see your primary care doc right after you recover and/or stop shedding.

I am in Austin. Things are getting back to normal as normal can be right now. I just went to ABGB to see my friend Andrew from Peachfuzz, who lives here now, too, do an acoustic set out of their big, big garden patio in front of the place. It was a beautiful evening, a little chilly, but very nice. They have awesome food, too!

CC -- If you have antibodies after COVID, you can donate plasma. The plasma is used to treat folks who are at high risk or have pre-existing conditions -- it functions to help those folks bypass all the critical symptoms. There haven't been many here either. I think this was the first one they had there. It was really chill, just people sitting at spaced out picnic tables eating. Wasn't crowded either. I'm glad he was getting to play. He's been doing a lot of on-line acoustic stuff. So, I know he's happy. He works at ABGB, as well. He's a manager there.

@CC_ u raise a good point about peeps who have had CV and didnt realize it and therefore have anti-bodies already. And the potential probs with getting the vaxx---too many anti-bodies combining with yf natural anti-bodies. I think I might have had da CV without realizing it---bc I was really sick for like 3 mo in Fall of 2019-winter 2020 before CV was even a thing and then it turns out 2 family members had CV ( recovered nicely from it) ----it makes me wonder if I had it "early" and then just naturally recovered. So yr point about testing for existing anti- bodies is a very salient one
