	♥ 5:08pm coelacanth∅: i got a ~1950s electrolux canister vacuum cleaner off the curb not long after my first apartment. it worked fine, in fact it really sucked; just one of the sleds (so much more logical than wheels) was broken. i fixed that, took like an hour. they probably bought a brand new machine, out of boredom or stupidity, which probably stopped working within 5-10 years. unfortunately it got stolen from my girlfriend's basement a few years ago...or thrown out again. now i have a shitty little shopvac that barely sucks.

Back in the good old days there was a movie theater down the street from where Baha Fresh is now where you could see a double bill of second run movies for a dollar. Also a Shakey's Pizza, and a great cheap department store, Zody's, where I bought some of my first LPs, and cheap clothes. My mom said there were rumors that those gigantic mansions were used to film porn!
