Actually yes - DocJazz. they are currently speaking to the glitch that occurs between the Default-Network in the brain (for neurotypical folx - it allows us to think of nothing but easily snap out of it and complete a task. For ADHD brains they cannot do this with ease.

So when the brain needs to focus and move into a task positive mindset, the ADHD brain remains stuck in Default. This is hugely important for us to remember how much time and extra prompting the ADHD brain needs - so that all kiddo are on the same page at the start of a lesson.

@docjazz - I am conducting a survey with our middle and high school kids and teachers - they are averaging 6 to 9 hours per day on a screen. This creates tremendous brain havoc especially for some with ADHD. The inattentive ADHD kiddos have a harder time with online or simulcast learning than the those with the Hyperactive component.

Also many of our kiddos are super bummed about having to use lockers again next year. Having all books and supplies in one spot has almost eliminated lost / forgotten work - and organization is better because most teacher are having kids maintain their spaces daily. Covid has certainly given us lots to think about concerning work.
