Paul Robeson performs “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot” very well... each time the Artist sings, he performs the music in a sightly different way....

it’s difficult (for me) to find a clean version of that song and many of his other recordings internet.

Yes, Bob, the life of a military family, especially Navy, is difficult for the parents and the children both. Mom and dad divorced when I was 12. At least that kept us in one place for more than a couple of years! Weird fact--both my dad and I are Vietnam War vets, he in '66 at age 43, I in '7O-'71 as a 23-year old. Also, Pat Sajak, Al Gore and I all served in-country during the same time period.

My informal survey finds NRBQ, Guided by Voices and Yo La Tengo, to be the three most polarizing bands with listeners. Seems like folks either love 'em or hate 'em. With so much material out there, you would think people could find SOMETHING to love in these classic, long-lived bands. I'm not 100% on any of them, but I have cherry-picked many favorite tunes over the decades.
