	9:13pm paparay: A buddy of mine ironically named Sting Internatonal produced Sting & Shaggy's LP. Yes, sad to see The Police retire. They split when they were on top. Didn't see Sting solo. I've always Stewart Copeland's musicmanship. He's quite articulate and intelligent. Sting a bit of an ego-maniac. Andy Summers is another interesting chap. Saw his documentary. His photos are impressive.

I have no idea what went down with the Police, but I imagine that, with some artists, once they've reached that level of success, it's hard to want to put up with bandmates saying, "Eh, that one's not so good, Sting. But just wait until you hear my song, "Mother", you're gonna love it!"

	9:42pm paparay: @ PJ: I was always spinning at house parties. A little of everything. I started spinning new waves a gang of friends would put on. I spun at Mission and The Pyramid which just closed and some small places like Bar 13 and The Gemini Lounge.

	9:44pm paparay: @ PJ: During the 80's I befriended a few DJ's at clubs and saw and listened to their selections. I even loaned some of them records. Fun times. WLIR was a big influence on me as well as stuff heard in those clubs. And stuff heard stuff in Queens.

	9:44pm Vertual: Spent many a late night cutting college newspaper copy with exacto knives and pasting them onto pages before computers listening to all this. I can just smell those photographic processing chemicals...

	♥ 9:46pm Mr. Pumpy: HA! I know you do! WLIR!!! Right there with ya. It helped that my mother married again hand my stepbrother was from Lawrence, on LI. It went from there, though. LIR became the thing it deserved. I was already running on that track, and it was another fuel source. GOOD TIMES!

	♥ 9:49pm Mr. Pumpy: We went to pick him up one day and his buddy was building a (better) skateboard ramp (than mine in NJ) while talking about the Circle Jerks and The Damned. Nothing was ever the same. Black Flag and The Buzzcocks took the back seat for a few weeks.

Although I used to tape them a lot on cassette and listen back. I recall one show exposed me to both Siouxsie's Nicotine Stain and New Pleasure by Richard Hell. this was another defining moment in my musical education.
	9:54pm Vertual: The best incentive for working at a college paper or radio station in the 80s was to snag the promo records that came in the mail before anyone else did!

	9:56pm paparay: I was lucky to get a job in the 90's at a record store in Greenwich Village which led to my music industry entry. I spent a lot of my paycheck at places like St. Mark's Sounds. THE BEST USED RECORD STORE EVER!!!!!

I've always Stewart Copeland's musicmanship. He's quite articulate and intelligent. Sting a bit of an ego-maniac. Andy Summers is another interesting chap. Saw his documentary. His photos are impressive.

I have no idea what went down with the Police, but I imagine that, with some artists, once they've reached that level of success, it's hard to want to put up with bandmates saying, "Eh, that one's not so good, Sting. But just wait until you hear my song, "Mother", you're gonna love it!"

Although I used to tape them a lot on cassette and listen back. I recall one show exposed me to both Siouxsie's Nicotine Stain and New Pleasure by Richard Hell. this was another defining moment in my musical education.
	9:54pm Vertual: The best incentive for working at a college paper or radio station in the 80s was to snag the promo records that came in the mail before anyone else did!
