Hello to ALL, on this wanly sunny April day, far from Monday, far from Friday
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:29pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

Here in Dutchyland it's winter one moment, autumn next, and then it appears to be spring. But then it hails again or snows a little. Or a lot. "April doet wat ie wil", as we say.

So Carlo was Duitch, but he's singing in Italian?
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:50pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

That was a trait some had. Especially around Amsterdam. It was just as incomprehensible at that time. No one in the netherlands actually understood a lot of english.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:51pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

Willy Alberti is another Dutch singer who sang in Italian.
Avatar 12:51pm
worldsworstrecords:

I've come across plenty of British singers singing in various European languages too, PK
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:51pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, he lived in The Netherlands, that's what I know. He might have been Italian, but I haven't had the time to research that. But there were more Dutchmen singing in Italian, even took on an Italian stage name like Willy Alberti..
Avatar 12:52pm

One of Larry Parnes' singers joined a Frech YeYe act
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:53pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

The Amsterdammers were quite fond of Italian opera/operette style stuff. The whole Jordanese style of singing is based on this method. belting and wildly oscillating vibrato's.

Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:39pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

But not Erdnuss-Käse.
