	♥ 4:56pm slugluv1313: speaking of film . . . has anyone seen "Eight Miles High" ("Das wilde Leben") (Germany, 2007)? -- biographical film about 1960s model/icon Uschi (who i believe is living in Portugal now) i was obsessing over "Summer Wine" and came across a version recorded by Natalia Avelon (who portrays Uschi) and Ville Valo, which was apparently used in the film not sure if "Eight Miles High" was even released here in the States, but have not had the chance to really look for where to watch it, or even a DVD (not in the local multi-library system)

I've always loved those as designed objects, and used one for awhile, and enjoy the concentrated flavor you can get from the process... ...but I don't trust myself to use one of those long-term. I just know one day I'd eventually space out and start doing something else and lose track of time, and some terrible tragedy would happen on the stove.

	5:15pm JBoogie: Fandor really had stuff you could not find anywhere else. Their library reminded me of the film library when I was in art school. It was invaluable. Many artists and filmmmakers that aren't anywhere else online. I really hope they retain what they had when they come back.

UNFORTUNATELY they were the favorite of my very first cat FUZZY (yeah even as a little kid i SUCKED at naming cats) -- he would bring them home as "presents" to my Mom, and she would totally lose it . . . to be fair though (while not doing any "victim-blaming") the Mockingbirds were always taunting FUZZY, sometimes swooping down and dive-bombing him . . . plus they were difficult birds to catch, not as difficult as Blue Jays but not "easy" like Robins

I'm amazed that I managed to move 600 miles away into the mountains, and I have a video store within walking distance that easily rivals all the great video stores of my past (i used to be a clerk in the 90s lol). a town of 3k people.... it's strange. I'm grateful. in fact, today is 99 cent rental day! I need to return Zelig and Herzog's Fata Morgana... yeah, I'm lucky... I'm glad streaming services like tehse exist though. for those less fortunate

In that Toyota Celica (yeah, it's name was BROWNIE LOL) I sat in a six hour blizzard in Secaucus NJ with no heat, but, it got me home!

It was found, the insurer declared it a "total loss" and I went through hoops, driving to Trenton etc to get the car titled back to me properly, but as Phillippe Bastille said, it's transpo. In that Toyota Celica (yeah, it's name was BROWNIE LOL) I sat in a six hour blizzard in Secaucus NJ with no heat, but, it got me home!
