That book sets the record straight for those of us who only knew those wonderful Dave Clark shows. The UK REAL shows were amazing artifacts. I always thought it would be like our American bandstand, but it was SO much cooler and on late Friday nights, not Saturday afternoons like our show.

I believe that UK vinyls were better. I have some Philips like that such as Brian Hyland's "Stay Away from Her"--US is so inferior sound from UK--both Philips.
