Ahoy there, fredr! Hello Mom Whig!

CC:

Nick... could you turn up your microphone a little we can hardly hear your voice???...:)
  5:16pm
CC:

Oh man I'm floating away!!!...:)

djnogoodnick:

@CC Thanks for the constructive criticism. Funny story.. when I recorded this show this morning I could not use a microphone. My regular laptop broke suddenly and is in the shop. I'm on an old computer that wouldn't recognize the USB mic. Next week I will definitely take your suggestion!

@CC Oh good.. that was the intention!
  5:19pm
CC:

Oh I'm sorry I thought you were talking to us right now live???...groovy tunes, man...hi y'all...:)
  5:20pm
fredr:

Tunes sound great though!
Avatar 5:20pm
djnogoodnick:

@CC No problem.. this show has been pre-recorded since I started last summer. BUT, that may change soon. Stay tuned!!
  5:22pm
CC:

I'm always looking for the DJ's who talk and play records at the same time... it's still a great show and a wonderful afternoon here in North Texas!!!...:)

Hi Nick. Great show as always. I wish it was two hours!
Avatar 5:26pm
djnogoodnick:

@CC I have a lot of xp playing records live but very little talking, so live radio will be a learning curve. I'm looking forward to it though!
Avatar 5:27pm
djnogoodnick:

@fredr Thank you!! and @Barry P A two-hour show may also be in the works..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:28pm
Barry P.:

I'll keep my fingers crossed, Nick!
  5:30pm
CC:

Yeah and then you incorporate reading the chat board along with it and it really becomes dimensional... having access to and coming up with cuts to play off the cuff based on the discussion and thoughts etc... a real trip for people who know how to multitask!!!...:)

fredr:

Two hours will be awesome! I’ll put in the good word to Ken F
Avatar 5:33pm
djnogoodnick:

@CC Indeed! The live show will be a tone change and will probably be a bit more upbeat / funky --and of course I'll screw up.
  5:34pm
CC:

Yeah, but it's okay to do some extemporaneous jamming from time to time!!!...:)
Avatar 5:35pm
djnogoodnick:

@fredr I appreciate that but I believe discussion is already underway.. I just don't know if I can confirm it yet. Really appreciate your support though, all of you!!
  5:37pm
CC:

Like one minute you might want to play Shabazz by Billy Cobham and then all of a sudden you change your mind and Play Snoopy versus the Red Baron by the Royal Guardsmen who knows???...:)

Love this 9/8 feel. Reminds me a little of Don Ellis's Electric Bath. But more mellow.
Avatar 5:39pm
djnogoodnick:

@CC Exactly! But really, for this prepackaged hour I spent entirely too much time trying to make it perfect, so I think letting go and being spontaneous will be good for me.
  5:40pm
fredr:

Just love your mix of fine fusion, rock etc. and it’s a unique mix to the web-based venue. Best of Luck to you!
  5:41pm
CC:

Yes and you do seem like a quick thinker!!!...cheerz!!...:)
Avatar 5:41pm
djnogoodnick:

@Barry P: Good comparison! Love that late 60s Don Ellis!! Pretty sure I played a track from him a few months ago actually.
  5:55pm
CC:

I think it would be helpful to have a secretary to Q your records up for you though while you're talkin'...:)
Avatar 5:56pm
djnogoodnick:

@CC I don't know about you but I never made enough DJing to pay one!
