Just up the road in Australian terms that is. About 650km & a State Border to cross. But most of those species can be heard 10 minutes drive from my house, sometimes even in my yard. You remind me I need to go bush for a while mate. Restore my mind.

Despite my ultra-urban environment in central Sydney there's loads of birds.
Big flock of Ibis, Cockatoos, Lorikeets, Magpies, Ravens as well as the usual shitty pigeons.
Makes for an interesting mix with the sounds of heavy trucks and the planes on approach to the airport that fly straight over.
If I leave the door open sometimes can't tell what's the show and what's the neighbourhood.

I've napped through portions of this show before; the only problem is that I do it SITTING at the computer. Usually I catch myself mid-way through the rapid arc to the floor, but one time I didn't, and I sprained a finger. Not during this show, however....it's quite confusing waking up on impact.
