The first Knitting Factory, became Botanica on Houston when it moved to Franklin.then it went to Billyburg on Metropolitan.

The second ever show at the second Knitting Factory, on Leonard Street in lower Manhattan, was a WFMU benefit concert. It took Michael Fucking Dorf about six months to cough up the cash from the benefit.
