Clear Light also featuring future actor Cliff De Young

Though interestingly, said actor does not appear with the rest of the group in "The President's Analyst" (Barry McGuire appears in his place). I guess he hadn't joined yet.

Guessing the CSN&Y cover owed something to the Band's second album.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45pm
Funky16Corners:

There was certainly a lot of that going around at the time
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm
Funky16Corners:

Though the old-timey cowboy look goes back to the very first San Francisco psychedelic bands like the Charlatans

This Fareed Haque album was itself a complete cover of Deja Vu (the album). It was part of a short lived Blue Note series of whole cover albums
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm
Funky16Corners:

The others were Everett Harp covering 'What's Going On' and Charlie Hunter covering a Bob Marley and the Wailers album (I can't remember which one)

Another memorable "asshole at a rock festival" interrupts Joni Mitchell's performance in "Message to Love: The Isle of Wight Festival" (a 1996 documentary about the 1970 concert).

Yeah, she gets really unnerved by that. That fest was a shitshow

The same. Most of Hookfoot played as Elton John's band on his early albums

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:22pm

I'm not 100% sure, but most rock festivals after Monterey Pop were just an awful attempt to stuff 10 pounds of shit into a five pound bag, bad attempts to cash in by bad businessmen

I read Graham Nash's book a while back and he was tired of Hollies singing about girls & bus stops. When the three of them first harmonised must have been a great moment. Being SO popular was not necessarily the best thing for them as a unit in the long run.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:41pm

Must have been hard to make choices with some of these. This has been great.
