I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

Right @chresti I was about to mention Chicago’s (feral) Cats at Work program too. Point: it *sounds* good, and utilizes a renewable feline resource. Cats need jerbs!!! Counterpoint: Chicago never does anything right, LOL. Plus NYC rats could probably take any feral cat any day. :(

  1:54pm
Robm:

Hello fellow listeners
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm
Krys O.:

Was just reading that Rodent Fertility Control was only part of the control process. Once the rodents are sterile, the thinking is that they can not pass on immunity to the rodenticides to future rat populations.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:57pm
Handy Haversack:

Ike, I have no doubt NYC rats could take down Chicago cats, but NYC feral cats are badasses. I lived in Greenpoint for twelve years before the TNR programs succeeded to the point that I saw a rat. But from a roof at night you could see fifty cats sometimes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:57pm

@Krys O anyone who does not spay their cats or any kind of pets is asking for trouble
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:58pm

Ultimately rodent birth control only works as long as they ingest the chemicals repeatedly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:59pm
fred:

@Krys O.@1:52: Don't worry, it's just a typo, the message should have read that they're concerned about their financial health, not your mental health. Obvious, but I guess they thought they don't need a copy editor

Indeed, fred! Much relieved and lighter in the pocketbook already.

Mountain lions, coyotes, get poisoned after eating rodents that have ingested rat poison, near Griffith Park.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm
Handy Haversack:

Krys, there used to be a lot of them around. They are coming back a little now that the science-supply cos. have figured out ways to draw their blood without killing them. Horseshoe crab blood is copper based and so ends up being useful in all kinds of medical-test ways. But they used to just harvest them indiscriminately.
  2:08pm

@Chestri must see a lot of dead animals around after ingesting the rat poison.

Yes, indeedy, I know, HyperDose. Pseu's been doing it for a long time.

There are a lot of colonies in Greenpoint. I particularly like a pair under the Pulaski Bridge, right by where I paddle. One of gingers, one of tuxedos, and they hate each other and have to be fed consecutively or they won't come out if they can see the other.
