Avatar 🎸 5:33pm
WLSClark:

sw224, read my comments above. haha

Amoeba finally open a couple blocks from previous? How big? 2 floors? LPs, CDs, what else? Wish I was there. Anyone there as opening artists?
Avatar 🎸 5:33pm
WLSClark:

sw2442, oops. 224 was probably Frank Sinatra 1955 or something!

Eric R:

darn time difference! 5 pm means 2 pm. Ok, we're here now
Avatar 🎸 5:36pm
WLSClark:

Eric, 4 PM for me and not natural time for me to listen to radio either, but it is an Orange world!
Avatar 5:36pm
MOM WHIG:

Eric - I feel for your time difference for these amazing shows each day - how's work today going?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:36pm
Eric R:

my old producer, Michael Lloyd.
Avatar 5:36pm
MOM WHIG:

Mondays are amazing - too many not to miss listening to
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:37pm
Eric R:

Mom, it's a day off so that means pruning, etc. Came back in, realized I'd taken too much time!
Avatar 5:38pm
MOM WHIG:

Eric heatwave here - high 80's most of week. The cicadas are here now -- not too many yet - the 17 year ones - going to be brutal soon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:41pm
Eric R:

bakc to spring for us. We had 82 yesterday, 66 today with rain coming.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:42pm
Eric R:

when Michael produced my group he never, ever mentioned what he'd done in the 60s. As far as we knew he was the producer for Shaun Cassidy and Leif Garrett.
Avatar 5:45pm
sw2442:

WLS Clark-I did see it...I also like to include everybody. The new Amoeba is more like a floor and a quarter. It is a bit smaller then the old location...they had to double shelve the CD's...some on the bottom shelve, but still not too inconvenient. They also T-shirts, posters, and other memorabilia. No concerts yet, although the stage is there...I'm guessing very soon.
Avatar 5:47pm
sw2442:

WLSClark-SW 224 was probably either Frank or Nat "King" Cole...and then again it was probably just W-224...no stereo at the time...
Avatar 5:48pm
sw2442:

Hi MOM WHIG...it sounds like OP is letting the music speak for itself...
Avatar 🎸 5:49pm
WLSClark:

SW, cool.
MYRAH is awesome.
Avatar 5:49pm
MOM WHIG:

Eric - Wow - Michael - what a guy - I just looked him up.
Avatar 🎸 5:49pm
WLSClark:

Eric, Mike Brown produced your group? What group was it????
Avatar 5:50pm
MOM WHIG:

At least the music is not "dropping out" like most of Sunday
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50pm
Eric R:

that was the Continental Miniatures....London Records
  5:52pm
David in California:

I'm looking forward to hearing Catherine's Wheel by Denny Laine.
  5:53pm
davefromtoronto:

orange you glad to be crazy?
  5:53pm
egould310:

@sw2442 I spent so much $$$ at Amoeba Records back in the day. They should have given me an equity stake in the company.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:53pm
Eric R:

I missed Amoeba. It was after I left LA, I'm pretty sure. The stores I went to were Tower, of course, and Aron's.
Avatar 5:54pm
MOM WHIG:

Hey, David in Ca, Dave from Toronto
Avatar 5:54pm
DA the DJ:

Thanks everyone!
  5:55pm
David in London:

  5:58pm
David in California:

Hello, MOM WHIG.
Avatar 5:58pm
sw2442:

Eagoulde310...I could relate...I've spent lots at Amoeba too...
Eric C-I went Tower just small handful of times...I had one in West Covina a short distance from where I live...I miss them. I haven't been to Aron's or never went...I heard they were great too.
Avatar 5:59pm
