Hughie Considine:

I saw Roy Harper at the Bottom Line in the late '90s - opening act was John Ford of the Strawbs, who opened with the "Benedictus," a beloved Strawbs song with about a thousand verses. My friend was a huge fan and a busker too, and he sang each of the verses. We were seated at one of those tables right near the stage, and when the song finally ended, amid applause, Ford says, "Thank you..thank you." He then looks down at my friend and says, "And thank _you_."
Had to share my Strawbs story. Oh, and good morning all!
