I thought I was too cool to attend any of the Lollapaloozas because they were corporate exploitation events. As time has gone by I have no regrets about not going but I do regret being a dickhead about it. I still can't figure out why I was such a butthole in my late teens/early 20s.

speaking of too cool to attend Lollapalooza, I recall driving home from the Randalls Island show in '94 and the two DJs on FMU (I forget who) were saying the only thing more pathetic than attending Lollapalooza is comparing the lineup to other years. of course we were in the middle of doing just that. whoops!

having stages at the bottoms of slopes seems like a really easy way to handle large crowds (and there were no bad seats (or seats at all :) )
