Hi Stork, loving the sounds. BG had great bands (and was notorious for being a harsh, skinflint of a bands leader).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53pm

@TDK60: France is weird. For instance, Wittgenstein is also held as a Nazi, because, I quote, "he made Hitler jealous of Jews". I got kicked out of family gatherings for reading Wittgenstein, for real, by philosophy professor uncles and aunts (I come from a teacher family)

i'd guess that's true TDK. this isn't the first time i've heard of "left" or "liberal" people hating on him though.

@doctorjazz: That's what should never be mentioned in the past, but is becoming a point of pride lately. We'll see how it goes when Le Pen is president (next year, probably)

Jess Stacy and Teddy Wilson did piano duties, Stacy in the big bandusually, Wilson in trio. He was courageous in presenting an integrated trio, but still had to maintain the color barrier in the Big Band (Not that Stacy was chopped liver as a pianist, have to day...)

Haven't played guitar in years-always hated changing strings. Would only change if one broke, and then only the one that broke, until the mismatched set was so bad sounding and difficult to tune that I couldn't stand it (guess that was one of many reasons I'm not a pro guitarist).
(I used to take solace in hearing that Ray Manzarek believed an old set of strings sounded best, and his maintenance was similar to mine).
Avatar 2:22pm

Yes, chresti the strings are getting dull dsounding. I'll still be here, checking the comments board and diggin' the hepcats.
