Favoriting June 19, 2021: Nick Gianni is a multi-instrumentalist who began performing at the age of 15 as an accompanist for an Avant Garde Dance troupe.
His grandfather played Saxophone in local NYC big bands and made sure Nick had strong musical training, learning the basics of piano, violin, flute, and clarinet at an early age. Nick eventually gravitated to the downtown free jazz scene in the late 80's. Throughout his career Nick has recorded/performed with Dr. John, Gato Barbieri, Jessie Harris, Marshall Allen, Karl Berger, Luther Thomas, Ronnie Burrage, Kenny Wollesen, Butch Morris, Daniel Carter, Hugh McCracken, Chris Parker. More recently Nick has been MD for Legends of Motown Concerts featuring GC Cameron of the Spinners and Glen Leonard of the Temptations.

got to give a shout out to John Lindberg listening to this. He hung tough with joe, Luther and Bobo who were some seriously hard core people, living the music and life to the max. He and Joe are real survivors and inspirations.
