@Revolution Rabbit Nov63: Unfortunately, you are correct. Phil Walden insisted that he get a copy of the Otis Redding Show...the Motown show exists...beyond that it mostly seems to be some random clips here and there. Some of today's audio comes from people who recorded off their TV's and sent tapes to Andy.

From rationing butter and eggs to armies of modernist kids zooted on blue bombers, riding on silver scooters to do “battle” with the rockers. Completely fascinating societal transformation. Think I’m going to need this book.

I'm painfully overdue for a better-informed understanding of what Reduffusion, ITV & ATV were - & how they differed from / related to the BBC. There's a great long indispensable bit extant of an interview with Townshend in Jan. 1966 - but it's 'A Whole Scene Going On' - BBC...

Keith Moon was interviewed alongside Bruce Johnston on RSG by Cathy McGowan but unfortunately could not find audio. A photo exists of the three them together though. Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:54pm
Mr. Pumpy:

One of my favorite quote of Townshend's from back in the day. It can be found in The Kids are Alright, I believe, and is delivered in Pete's sardonic and deliberate fashion. "You have to resign yourself to the fact that a large part of the audience is sort of thick, you know, and don't appreciate quality however much you put it over. The fact that our group hasn't - hasn't got any quality. It's just musical sensationalism. You do something big on the stage and a thousand geezers sort of go, "Ah!". It's just basic Shepherds Bush enjoyment.”

What is the current status of the serving footage regarding Dave Clark? know he owned the rights to whatever remaining footage existed.
