I think the sirens should just be dogs barking

At Wolf Park (Tippecanoe, Indiana), the wolves became conditioned to the sound of a train rolling as preceding a whistle, so, anticipating the whistle, they started howling when they heard the train rolling.

sirens should be howls maybe

If those cats haven't been adopted by the end of the next track, I don't even know.

@Listener Robert, I think so too. Ailsa as a small greyhound mix is quite a mute dog. Her playful barks (when catching ball etc.) are so unpractised and ugly in a cute way. She is not vocal at all really, at most trying to copy other dogs barking, which always comes out comical.
- When a siren passes by, she sits down very neatly and hums along, ever so sweetly, it sounds like a song. <3

I take Rex's howl/siren sound effect as carrying on from Jim Marshall.

I think there was a Wake and Bake news story of a family who got aan NJ house with a pond ans wanted to cleanit but discovered Goldfish so the fish(100-200) were rescued
and put up for adoption and the "adoptuers" had to do the interview and house visit as if getting mammals... (I'll look it up now..)

There's a sign on a road up here that says-'peacock crossing' and if you're lucky you will indeed see a peacock crossing the road.

Handy Haversack:

We have a dog and three cats in a four-room Greenpoint railroad apt. We are really fully saturated. And then a few years ago we for some reason went to a pet-rescue expo at the Expo Center (same place as the record fair). This will be cute, we thought, just to see the animals.

What the hell is the matter with us? Half an hour in dog room, and we're both in tears. So we go into the cat room to try to recenter, and ten minutes later are arguing whether we should get two kittens or one 30-lb. senior cat. Then we suddenly were like, "What are we even doing here? Have we gone mad?" And ran like hell to the closest margarita.

Peter Gabriel sings a song called "Kiss That Frog" which is appropriate because he sounds like croaking frog when he sings.

Last night I dreamed a wild skunk had found and taken a liking to me. I just wanted to not catch rabies from it, so kept trying to get away.

Jackie, whose frog you want? Bob Brainen's got more of them, but the Old Codger's frog has more music accompaniment.
