THE MORRICONE ISLAND INTERVIEWS podcast features the in-depth conversations with film and television music composers and the related soundtrack industry and fan community.

Composer, conductor and educator DAVID NEWMAN discusses his 35-year career scoring over 100 films, from early days in horror (Critters, The Kindred, Heathers) to comedies (Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Bowfinger, Mighty Ducks), children's (Scooby-Doo, The Flintstones, Anastasia) and the Danny Devito-directed Throw Mama From The Train, War Of The Roses and Hoffa. As a member of the most nominated Academy Award family "The Newmans" with 92 noms, David is the son of nine-Oscar composer Alfred, nephew of Lionel and Emil, brother of Thomas and cousin of Randy.
