Hello, everybody—and the rest of you. What an exciting show Courtney has planned: Sophie Tucker, Bo Carter, Stuff Smith, Flip the Frog, and so much more!! Also, we have a new sponsor advertising a great new product from Delbarton Dainties. Yes, it's for The Ladies! But you fellas can stick around. Light up a Rancho Malario Supremo, pour yourself a tumbler of Sly Weasel, and get comfortable for an hour of high-class 78 rpm goodness.

Lolabelle Pancake:

Good question, since most people wake up with the blues mid-afternoon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm
Listener Howard & the Cats:

Because the hangovers made it difficult to remember earlier than "this morning" once they got into the studios.

  7:33pm
Listener Robert:

Just plug in, huh? Too bad no crank Victrola.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:38pm
Listener Howard & the Cats:

@Androu: Just looked it up, it was Walter Tetley, I thought it sounded a lot like Sherman. Maybe Beals voiced him earlier, but the the song is from a 1946 Walter Lantz cartoon. "The Lantz film included a song, sung by Walter Tetley as Reddy. It was later used in advertising and commercial applications by licensees. Called simply “Reddy Kilowatt”, the song was written by jazz artist Del Porter and Oscar-nominated composer Darrell Calker." New to me, I just thought I recognized the voice.
