Perhaps Brian's most famous performance on a wind instrument was his lasciviously sexy recorder solo after Ed Sullivan told them they couldn't say "Let's spend the night together" during that famous tune. I think they had to substitute with "Let's spend some time together."

Yes, Bob. Brian's little "revenge" on Ed Sullivan with his recorder solo on "Ruby Tuesday." Even my mom noticed and did NOT approve! But Brian, like Jim Morrison, stood up to Mr. Sullivan when he tried to impose censorship on the Stones' lyrics.

I was wishy-washy on The Beatles until I saw Help! when it came out, The Rolling Stones were another matter. The Stones on Hollywood Palace in 1965 made me loose my mind. I was ten years old. The Rolling Stones taught me about music in the dark. In February 1966 we got a new car that had a great sound system. Coming home from my grandmas house one night I heard their version of Mona. I was a goner.
