Beats mismatched. New mystic moods. The International Style. Pressed and dressed. Queasy listening. New ways to fail. More is more. Backroom room tones.

Hi David and Scott! feels like none of us ever sleeps!
  3:06am nidrian:

Big Science! I don’t think I’ve heard this live version before. Good morning.
Avatar 3:07am Jesse Dorris:

Sleep! What's that?
Avatar 3:07am Jesse Dorris:

This is from a rather nice board recording you might be able to find online...

How's everyone doing this week?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13am Scott67:

Sylvia, I often see David at the end of his night & then the beginning of his day. All in my same day. ☀️🌏🌎🌍🌛
Avatar 🎸 3:13am Special_Vessels:

Saw Laurie play a concert in Jerusalem on the eve of US election 2016. She began the show by leading the entire theatre through a cathartic primal scream...I mean balls-to-the-wall everyone in the room SCREA MING

  3:22am nidrian:

Special, I wish I could have been there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27am Gurldoggie:

Hey Polyglot! That Baldwin conversation was very very cool. Thanks!
Avatar 3:28am Jesse Dorris:

Hey Gurldoggie! It's so great, right? Fucked up ABC refused to air it in 1979, but how lucky we are to finally hear it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34am Gurldoggie:

It’s funny, I just saw ‘Summer of Soul’ tonight (which I HIGHLY recommend!) and one of the themes of the movie is the truism that Black history in America is going to be erased. The Baldwin interview seems to be another case in point.
Avatar 3:37am Jesse Dorris:

Ohhh I haven't seen that yet, very excited to. But yeah, it's a constant battle to resist the erasure of it, the power urging us to forget is so strong.
Avatar 3:43am Kevin / Ringwood / UK:

Morning Jesse and poly people. Love the drones on that Witcher track
Avatar 3:44am Jesse Dorris:

Hey Kevin! Yeah that track is a queasy one.
  3:46am Surgeon:

Good morning Jesse & all Glotals!
Avatar 3:46am Jesse Dorris:

Morning Surgeon! How are you and Doris and the cats?
  3:46am Surgeon:

Oooo. What’s this?
Avatar 3:48am Jesse Dorris:

The Ritchie Family! So bombastic!
  3:51am Surgeon:

Very bombastic! Doris is off riding rollercoasters today. I’m staying home as cat butler.
Avatar 3:52am Kevin / Ringwood / UK:

I think someone in the Ritchie family got one of those books of rhymes for their birthday
Avatar 3:52am Jesse Dorris:

It's a Jacques Morali situation.
Avatar 3:52am Kevin / Ringwood / UK:

Bass and face. Brilliant
  3:54am David in London:

Malcolm, surgeon, Kevin, morning.
Avatar 3:56am Kevin / Ringwood / UK:

Hi David
Avatar 3:57am Jesse Dorris:

Honestly this Rose Laurens song makes me break down and cryyyyy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58am Gurldoggie:

Honestly it doesn’t take much to make Robert Smith break down and cry.
Avatar 🎸 3:58am Special_Vessels:

I heard boys don't cry, Jesse.
Avatar 🎸 3:59am Special_Vessels:

But my mirror tells me otherwise
Avatar 3:59am Toutevoix:

How sweet
Avatar 3:59am Jesse Dorris:

I do lots of things boys aren't supposed to do.
Avatar 4:06am Toutevoix:

Course u do! Naughty ))) have serious fun out there let's spread love and music together!
Avatar 🎸 4:09am Special_Vessels:

@JesseDorris: I heard love is love
  4:11am nidrian:

Aww, Jon Hassell. That bums me out. Very distinctive sound. That second collab with Eno was my favorite.
Avatar 4:11am Jesse Dorris:

I heard Love Is a Stranger
Avatar 4:12am Jesse Dorris:

@nidrian it's such a loss! The new albums he's put out recently are among his best.
Avatar 4:12am Jesse Dorris:

And the Eno album is a classic.
Avatar 4:13am Toutevoix:

some singing elephants in the distance,
LOVE isn't just a four letter word?
  4:18am nidrian:

I’ll be seeking those out. There’s a lot I haven’t heard.
  4:21am David (in London):

Jesse, I heard that love is a cattlefield. Though I might have got that wrong.
Avatar 4:22am Jesse Dorris:

There's a lot I hadn't heard before putting this set together--so many gems. I may not even get to his many many collaborations.
Avatar 4:22am Jesse Dorris:

@david moo
Avatar 🎸 4:23am Special_Vessels:

Wait...I just read love is a temple, love the higher law. Now I'm cuntfused.
  4:27am Surgeon:

Ah, this Jon Hassell section is so good
Avatar 4:31am Jesse Dorris:

It's amazing how MUCH work he released, how it all is unmistakably him and yet endlessly interesting....
  4:34am nidrian:

I had to double check that he actually worked with 808 State.
Avatar 4:39am Jesse Dorris:

He did! Or they did remix him.
Avatar 4:42am Jesse Dorris:

In related news, I went to see Octo Octa and Eris Drew b2b yesterday and they dropped Pacific 808 at a pivotal moment and the huge crowd just about collectively lost their minds.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:42am Matthew_London:

Mo-mo-morning
  4:48am Surgeon:

@Jesse Wow! That must have been amazing. Goosebumps ✨
Avatar 4:51am Jesse Dorris:

They're both amazing DJs but when they get together for these 8 hour sets it's just...serious magic.
  4:57am Surgeon:

Wow ✨🚀
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:16am the Hurston moor-elf:

@Jesse what was the "Fourth World rave" you referred to earlier? Brilliant Hassell set, BTW. I hadn't heard the news, but was just listening to "Charm (Over 'Burundi Cloud')" last night.
Avatar 5:18am Jesse Dorris:

Hey @thehurstonmoor-elf It was a big rave Community Bread put on at Sugar Hill Disco over the weekend. Amazing lineup!
Avatar 5:18am Jesse Dorris:

And thanks!
  5:26am nidrian:

Oh, I like this one. I’m a sucker for barking dog sounds in music.
Avatar 5:30am Jesse Dorris:

bow WOW!
Avatar 5:37am Kannetana ki te Raki:

Ka mate, ka mate
  5:55am David (in London):

Thanks for a great show today, Jesse.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 5:56am jinjabredboy:

great stuff this morning Jesse - thanks
Avatar 5:58am Jesse Dorris:

That's it for me, friends! Thank you for your ears! Until next week....
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 5:59am David (in London):

I remember Raffaella doing this on Top of the Pops when she was performing this ludicrous dance with neck snaps that looked positively dangerous. Priceless.
  5:59am Surgeon:

Thanks again for the music!
  6:00am nidrian:

Great show, Jesse!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:05am Scott67:

Thanks Jesse!✌😎
  8:26pm Brett (Melbourne, Australia):

'Polyglot' has been the soundtrack to my lockdown - great show, Jesse. Just found you as we all got sent home again a couple of weeks ago with COVID-Delta strain hitting Australia. Get up, Ugg boots on, start streaming a 'Polyglot', breakfast and log into work has been my routine for 22 days - a joy!
