May I interject in your conversation, ladies, to say how ecstatic I am that Bunny got my request right on the nose this time. "White Bird" by It's a Beautiful Day is one of my all-time faves. My fellow soldiers and I listened to their first album every night while serving in Vietnam, 1970-71.

@ Kim Reynolds. Bunny goes to those "Nuggets" albums quite a lot for somewhat obscure garage band/psychedelic singles from that era. The song "Romeo and Juliet" was actually a national hit by the Reflections. Mike's Messengers' version is a cover.

Quite a few bands liked to cover the fabulous Kinks. If this were a little slower, it could have passed as a Vanilla Fudge arrangement.
  3:39pm
Gerry from Miami:

Loved that demo of "Love is Only Sleeping." They gave that one to the Monkees. Based in this recording, I'm surprised that Barry and Cynthia didn't pursue a recording career. They sure were terrific songwriters!

Gerry from Miami:

Some of these vintage celebrity promos are really good. Bunny has a carload from Coca Cola, but I especially love the one he just played, featuring the late, great Levi Stubbs of the Four Tops, shilling for Duncan Hines cake mixes.
