Glad to be here, JOE!! Way too hot to be outside. I just got a text from a friend who deejays in clubs and on cruise ships. He's an old California pal of mine who lives in suburban Philly now. He asked if I was familiar with the song that goes "NO NO NO NO NO NO NO etc. etc." I immediately replied that it must be "Nobody But Me" by the Human Beinz. I then went to Wikipedia to discover that this record was actually a cover of an Isley Brothers oriiginal. Who would have guessed?
Avatar 2:42pm
Joe B:

I always wondered if the human beinz learned it from the mojos or another british band

The Rascals (Young and otherwise), such a phenomenal band. I saw the Felix/Gene edition a few years ago and was sadly disappointed. Carmine Appice on drums -- maybe the worst choice for those songs.

@Mom - great idea!

@myron - too bad. I saw the original four guys on Broadway in 2013. they were amazing

@myron feld:
Could that have been the edition I saw 5 years ago opening for the Zombies at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank?
Avatar 2:50pm
Joe B:

@myron - I should add that Little Steven added these jersey boys -style segments that were awful. in between the four acts they did these little acting scenes that were unnecessary and silly. of course starring his wife.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:50pm
myron feld:

@ David: could be, yes. I saw them in Stamford CT in either 2016 or 2017.

@myron - I forget. the segments were so bad. the playing by the original 4 was outstanding though. Here is the show: www.setlist.fm...
