Will there be japes?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:58pm

So what he's saying is more bank robberies would be successful if the thieves disguised themselves as bell boys?

Credibility Gap was amazing.

Bronze Age of Radio and Floats and A Great Gift Idea are all killer
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:25pm
Rich in Washington:

I have the GGI/Floats double LP but it was an ex-library copy and has a horrendous warp on one disc.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:26pm
Rich in Washington:

I remember hearing bits of this on my local classic rock station's Comedy Hour show when I was a teen.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27pm
ironybread:

Well if you need "Floats" I know a certain blog where you can get the full album, a blog with a name remarkably similar to the name of this show
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:34pm
Rich in Washington:

Del Close was a twisted genius, the likes of which seem to be departing this plane at an alarming rate.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:46pm
ironybread:

Tell a lie, Harry Shearer has said Rolling Stone gave Woodschtick a "lacerating" review but I've actually got the "Rolling Stone Cover to Cover" CD-ROM set and I don't see any evidence that RS ever reviewed "Woodschtick"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:46pm
ironybread:

However in May 1971 some dude named William Laffler (because OF COURSE that was his name) did a review for UPI dismissing it and saying it was in poor taste
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:46pm
ironybread:

The Hartford Courant called it "one of the least comic efforts I've ever heard" and "in the worst possible taste"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:47pm
ironybread:

And the Tacoma Washington News-Tribune called it "poorly done, tasteless, and boring"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:47pm
ironybread:

The media is very important

Arvcuken:

Clearly they've all got a schtick up their ass
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:49pm

I've had my EQ offline through this whole show. There. Much better. Lush, even.
