Because I'm not donating blood I can do it every week if I wanted to. And I say no 2 PM toast because I'll have a needle in each arm at 2PM. I will drink when I get home.

And it does make a difference to one's health and relationship to Others and Life, even. If one is interested and is able to, people showing how journalism (and what falsely passes for it) works really helps weeding out the mercenary bullshit and makes it possible not to forego that essential function of knowing what's going on, without falling for misinformation traps (and other information related ailments)

I switched back to NY Blood Center / NJ Blood Services when doing platelets, for single arm machine. Alternates give/return every few minutes. Also no more two hours in the chair. 90 min tops. I’d ask the donor center folks what gives with not having latest gear.

	7:31am Revolution Rabbit Nov63: I gave blood like that once - decades & decades ago when I Left Home & was road tripping all the way across the country diagonally. We were stuck in Arizona & needed gas money to make it all the way the California coast. I flinched though - & when they were giving me back my plasma - it went into my arm not a vein. So - I got a kind of instant Popeye with my arm puffing up in the bicep region. It went down soon enuff... They were big needles - not like the barely noticeable needles used to give me the Covid vax recently. You know happymaan - it might be a satisfying thing to donate again - both to do a good thing & say I got it right this time ! :D ...

And it does make a difference to one's health and relationship to Others and Life, even. If one is interested and is able to, people showing how journalism (and what falsely passes for it) works really helps weeding out the mercenary bullshit and makes it possible not to forego that essential function of knowing what's going on, without falling for misinformation traps (and other information related ailments)

I switched back to NY Blood Center / NJ Blood Services when doing platelets, for single arm machine. Alternates give/return every few minutes. Also no more two hours in the chair. 90 min tops. I’d ask the donor center folks what gives with not having latest gear.

We were stuck in Arizona & needed gas money to make it all the way the California coast. I flinched though - & when they were giving me back my plasma - it went into my arm not a vein. So - I got a kind of instant Popeye with my arm puffing up in the bicep region. It went down soon enuff... They were big needles - not like the barely noticeable needles used to give me the Covid vax recently. You know happymaan - it might be a satisfying thing to donate again - both to do a good thing & say I got it right this time ! :D ...
